I don't know exactly where to put this so I decided on Wings and MORE!
The old site had a database begun of badges. Nice, but of course, most all of the pics are gone.
I'm interested in seeing the small round decal on that was on the front, right, bottom curbside of my Shasta Compact. There is a circle where it was but there are no screw holes. It's the only thing missing other than the typical Shasta decals and their outlines are very prominent. Does anyone have a pic, please?

It was the TCA Badge, Trailer Coach Association member.

Thank you, Schweetcruisers. That is what I thought it might be, however there are no screw holes. Was there a decal that looks like your metal badge?
I will probably try to replace it with the metal one; I've come across one, not sure I can get it!

They also had round reflectors there too. Yellow in front, red in back. Depending on year. Some of those had 1 screw hole through the center too.

That could be a possibility, too since there is no teardrop shaped marker light on the front and no screw holes or wiring for one. But once again, no screw hole where the round circle is. I really think it was a decal. And the marker lights in back were amber, not red like they are required to be now. I've looked at every Shasta Compact on the internet and there are others that were amber. I bought red ones to replace it. If you look in the ad, there is no marker light on front. Which makes me think I have a '60 or early 61. Then I find a 63 with no marker light... but it might not really be a 63 or maybe they were made differently at factories in different states. I found a 60 with no icebox and it totally looked original and just like mine with the original back splash except for the icebox. It had a row of drawers instead of an icebox with Shasta handles. Sorry, for my tangent, but this is driving me nuts, the year, not the decal It just seems that there would be one something different each year, but no, nothing I can totally document.

Too weird... I was just browsing face book and came across an "ad" that someone has one of these for sale: One inquiry within the last 24 hrs but no reply to that...

Wow, that one looks really old. There's one on eBay, too. That's what made me wonder. I'm watching it. If it doesn't get out my price range by auction end, I'll go for it.

This is the one that was on that corner of my Airflyte (1964, Pennsylvania-built). Just in case it helps. Have to admit though that my first response would also have been the reflector idea. There were some that had a mounting adhesive and were not screwed on, but may have been later models (70's and '80's).

The gentleman on fb was asking $15 +. Would you mind sending me a link? This is the data plate on the back of my Compact. I'm not sure what all the numbers mean but the S (serial #?) is the number stamped on my tongue minus the two letters in front of it which I am assuming is my VIN #. But I thought that it is interesting that the DoH # is very similar to the A 111.2 number on your badge. data plate edited by susieqilvu, on Flickr

The DoH tag on mine was never stamped with anything other then the DoH number, no date, no serial(mine was even built in Long Beach)! The random circle on SusieQ's could be the American Standards badge, I have seen those on a few trailers.

Good point, Schweetcruiser. I don't think there is a place on the other side, I would have noticed. I know every inch, dent and ding now.
Mine was built in Northridge, CA. That made hubby light up since that is the town where he was working when we met.
Since that DoH number is so similar to 10's, I'm thinking it has something to do with electrical and plumbing compliance. M must be the model number, def. NOT the year.

Here is the badge in that location on Lula Belle. She's a 1964 Compact. Her j-rail looks pretty tough in this pic . . . sigh.

OK. Good question. Maybe I misunderstood your question. This is in the lower right corner of her curb-side. It is below and to the right of her door. *Not* on the front of the trailer -- she doesn't have anything on her front.
