It's a masonite trailer, so it'd either be pristine or in a mouldering heap. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground with those.

If it’s been in a barn for 70 years, why does the outside look that rough?

It's a masonite trailer, so it'd either be pristine or in a mouldering heap. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground with those. At least the roof is aluminum and it wouldn't take much to recover this trailer with brand new metal skin. And the masonite is most likely the reason for keeping it indoors... You know I've found masonite trailers out in the deserts of California that were not in bad shape at all except for being shot up. The old masonite really held up well.

Not sure on this one. I believe this is being flipped by the magazine guy in Calif. Not sure, but I would want to do a LOT more inspecting for that money.

I can see the Vintage Camper Trailer Magazine decal in the rear window LOL... But no matter who is flipping it I think it's a wonderful piece. Wish I had the money.

As a retired Appraiser I can tell you what something is worth is what someone is willing to pay for it.
I like what I am seeing for the most part. Love the style, the size, the age but it is not worth anywhere near that much to me because it doesn't fit my needs. Value is very relative to the person.

I love the camper and I fall into a trance when I hear the words "Barn Find".
The price snapped me out of my trance. But I still like it.

For a camper that is 70 years old it looks great, I wouldn't expect it to be perfect.
Way out of my price range but I think anyone with deep pockets would be happy with it. Danny

I always consider a Barn Find with pictures if o e in a barn with 1/2 " of dust on it. Where it had sat for 30 years. Nothing less

The price was twice what it was worth and only half of what the buyer thought it was worth. So now everybody is happy.
