I'm a happy boy - first ceiling panel went in a couple days ago. It's the one in the center of the trailer. I'm pretty sure the roof/ceiling on the Holiday House was built separately and lowered onto the top of the walls from above. Everything is made of solid lumber - no laminating like a canned ham. The rafters are very tightly finger jointed into the roof side rails and both the side rails and the top wall frames are continuous pieces of wood 15ish feet long. Luckily the ceiling framing can be reused and I'm able to piece it back together in sections. There is a small flickering light at the end of the tunnel :-)

You're doing a very nice job Bryan. When I saw the pin hole in the aluminum water tank I was going to tell you to just discard the thing. Once you see one pinhole on the outside you know that others will occur soon after the tank is pressurized. I tried to fix a pin hole in the same tank once, pressurized the tank and another one appeared. Then another and another so I gave up and put a new poly tank in from Vintage Trailer Supply.. And while I was at it I doubled the size of the tank being that I had the room.

Thanks Larry -
I'm guessing Bryan must be my deep cover CIA alias or something - not quite sure where Rod came up with it :-).
My real name is Allan and I agree about the aluminum tank. I thought about trying to patch the pinholes but kept picturing new ones popping up so the newfangled plastic one will be ordered soon!

I love the color combo. Debra The fabric is (to use a sixties word) fab, and the Marmoleum and countertop will look just wonderful with it.

I've got a Micrometer just like that. Think I got it on either Amazon or at Harbor Freight... Can't remember which.

$19.99 on Amazon... Probably reverse engineered in China from the German version that's $150.

Snide remark: they pry quit making the knock offs because those windows leaked like sieves.
Thanks for the photos, PT.

My thoughts exactly - they are guaranteed leakers... but they look cool while they're leaking :-)
Horizontal ledges and other sketchy areas next to the window frame/putty meeting point are a bad idea. I'm going to try to create some slope so water might run away from the windows when it's sitting still and will be using lots of putty tape!
