I always start making a punch list when I get past the metal. And that punch list seems to grow as fast as I mark stuff off. I am down to the final punch list on the Mainline now and I've still added a few things. Deadlines do not bring anything to the table but stress and dissapointment. This is a hobby and it's supposed to be fun. If it was a job and you made your living from it then it would be different. But I've done that too and it never works out.

Vent Fan looks great! Be sure to check every year to touch it up if need be.

Yay! Front trim is in on both sides I would have loved to reuse the originals but rebuilding the front end changed the profile too much to make them useable. HH originally did these as one continuous crazy bendy piece but I broke them up into two. Between cutting, annealing, cussing, bending, tapping, masking, sealing, pre-drilling, screwing, cleaning and more cussing these two pieces took close to 8 hours to get done. I have no idea how it could take that long but it did. Not perfect but not bad...

I see that you have buckling in your radius. I made a 3/4 inch thick plywood jig to preform my corner cap rail in and it worked great with no buckling. Bet you did yours by hand. I have a video that shows me doing it for the wheel well but I also did it on the sharpest radius on the back of the trailer as well. On that one it began to buckle a little bit in the jig and once I had it completely closed I just beat on it with the mallet and it flattened right out. Then I installed it with no problems. If you want to look here is the video. Video Link: youtu.be/v476CBqvPUQ

I always wanted a HH before reading about your restoration. But, now.... Big ATTABOY!! to you, PT. Rod

Welcome to the Holiday House - or at least the part with the front door finally installed. Needs to be fiddled with but does what it's supposed to. Being a suicide door I think it will have a bungee chord forever strapped to it while we're in motion.

If the door is hung properly there should be no reason to be worried about the door coming open during travel. And a nice little trick that a lot of companies like Westerner did with their suicide doors was to put a piece of J Rail along the forward side of the door. That caught not only the wind, but also rain when traveling so it helped keep the air and water from getting under the flange of the door.

The main concern will be my never ending capacity to be an occasional idiot.
I will be busy and see something shiny while I'm "closing" the door in a year or two - lose my concentration and drive off with it not completely latched and..... I added the latch plate that provides another 1/8 inch of grab so that helps but I will use a bungee to make it idiot proof-ish :-) too!
