Hi all. My name is Jody. We just started the major overhaul on 'Miss Daisy'. I bought her pretty much sight unseen off eBay/Craig's list...mistake number 1. I had no idea what to look for nor what I was getting in to. I paid a crazy asking price of $2,900. Which was mistake number 2. I've had her now for a little over two years. This past summer she went on a 6,300 mile month long cross country trip. It became apparent during that time that Daisy had some structure issues. We started working on her Thanksgiving day and when we finished today, the only thing left was her metal frame!! Everything inside was rotten and several studs were disconnected providing no support. I will work on how to load pictures. I know we will need lots of help and support along this crazy rebuild so all feedback is most welcome!! I think this link to my Facebook pictures should work. www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10202704374873519.1073741837.1323357116&type=1&l=4d90576363If anyone can tell me how to paste a picture directly to my post that would be fantastic! Thanks

Thanks. We took a lot of measurements but no blueprints. We have our work cut out for us!

Hi Soup, will it not work using Facebook? Obviously I figured out how to post the link to the album but can't figure out how to post individual pics here.

Works okay for me LOL Are you sure you wanted to burn those wall panels yet? I find I'm too paranoid to burn until I have the new panels up. I write all my measurements on them in sharpie marker before taking apart. I usually make paper mask for new wall panels but I refer to the written measurements on the old ones for placement of cabinets etc. Looks like you at least have an indoor space to work in. I would never do a frame off without having an indoor space I could dedicate at least 6 months to a year for.

Soup: We kept a few wall pieces but I am planning on making the inside 2 inches taller so I didn't see the point in saving a lot of the panels. I am making the bed frame bigger so the counters, cabinets and even the door frame will be moved down 6 inches. Some of the cabinets were kept for a template. Yes, I am fortunate that I have a big indoor shop to keep it in during the restore.
How in the heck did you post that from FB? I've read the tutorial and tried... To no avail.
