Hello all. This is my first post but I think I have read every post on this entire site. I live in the western piedmont of N.C. and have 2 Shastas. One is a 1965 compact and one is a 1967 1500 I think. I have title just not sure of model yet. I will post a pic. of Kitty and Patsy shortly. I was wondering if anyone knew what years the made shastas in S. Carolina. Thanks I love this site. Randy.

blacksmithShasta's manufacturing plant in Columbia, South Carolina opened in 1966. It was the 6th plant and I believe that it was located where the airport is now. If you can provide me with the vin's of each Shasta, I can tell you the year they were produced and if you can either post a picture of each or the length of each, we can tell which model you have.

Thanks for the info. Ross. After looking at the brochures I now know I have a 1967 airflyte made in S.C. So the plant opening in 66 would be right. So I have a 1965 compact and a 1967 Airflyte. I have a title for both but I will get the vin. number. They are under a few coats of paint. As to pics. I took some on my 35mm camera and have them on my s.d. card. After reading what to do to post I don't think this old country computer challenged country boy is gonna get it done. Thanks Randy.
