So, it seems that momma might have thrown out our lights! She remembers a box on the garage floor and threw it in the trash!
Argh!
We're currently camping near pymatuning lake and yesterday we went to the local flea market. I snagged what appears to be a Bargman license plate light. The seller also had a cake light but it was pretty beat. The license light cost a whopping $.50
If i had known that the other lights had been tossed i would have gone to the local auto swap meet a couple weeks ago.

Isn’t that the way things go. There have been times that I know I have things and just can’t find them even though they have been in my way for months..........Debra

Considering some neighbors have complained im running a junkyard, yeah.
Got home a couple hours ago, had a chance to look around, found the marker lights, not in the bag i left them in. Now that bag is filled with my sons detailing towels. At least he recognized that they were lights for the camper and put them in a box of camper parts.
Taillights still mia.
Worse yet is that the remnants of my model car collection is missing. Im pretty sure i put the lights with those.
I sold off 300 or so after the mother in law moved in because we needed the space. I sold most but kept my 20 favorite. One was one of the first my father and i built. Gone now. Vicky was complaining that the models we built of her Chargers are gone now.
I didn't throw them out.

Considering some neighbors have complained im running a junkyard, yeah. I didn't throw them out. LOL Richard is bad about that also. He started cleaning out the garage years ago and put several boxes in the trailer to take to the dump without looking to see what was in them. I asked him if he had any idea what he had thrown away. He didn’t even look in the boxes. He said we had been in this house 5 years and had not needed anything in them. ( Our high school diploma’s and my collage degree were in one of them.) Lucky for meI looked in them before he had a chance to haul it to the dump.......... Debra

We keep our trash bins in the attached garage due to vermin. Several residents here have a bad habit of tossing empty boxes and trash bags out into the garage near the totes, near not in.
So every week someone has to pick up the trash from the floor and load the totes. I take the three steps and put stuff in the totes.
About a month ago i tossed out the future daughter in laws printer. In my defense, it was in a box under a stack of empty boxes next to the totes.
My box of models wasn't on the floor, it was on top of a cedar chest, till someone moved the chest and put the box on the floor.
We've decided that this coming weekend will be a decluttering weekend. Starting in the kids room. They're the ones complaining that theres no shelf space for their stuff, but last weekend i pulled 4 large empty boxes off a shelf...

Hope y'all are recovering from the turkey coma. I've got a nice long weekend to work on the camper.
Plan is to get the bedroom side walls up and finish the bed base. Then start the bathroom side walls. Also going to install the shower fixtures.

Well, almost went as planned. I did get the bedroom walls framed, paneled and set in place. Only to realize that the plywood i had wasn't really plywood. Its veneer covered particleboard or masonite.
So, im going to take em down, pry off the paneling and redo it. At least at this point, i have a cutting template for the plywood.

Anxious to see how this project goes. I have a '60s 25.5' Frolic I intend to "resto-mod" to keep the vintage feel with some modernization. Plan to spend a lot of time in it, so want it comfortable and efficient too. Keep the info and photos coming!

Howdy. Yeah that's what we're after as well. I got one bathroom wall constructed and will make the other today. Hopefully next weekend I'll start the curbside kitchen wall. I did redo the bedroom walls.
Our project is more involved than yours since we've decided to change the entire shape of the camper and therefore don't have templates to copy. But we also aren't stuck with the original window placement etc.
You'll notice in the pictures that so far nothing is finished (stain, flooring etc) as i figured a rough assembly would allow us to try things out for function without wasting time on appearance just yet. Indeed, other than the floor pan nothing is held together with much more than a few screws. If changes are needed they will be fairly easy to accommodate.
This does in effect mean we'll be building the camper twice, once as a dry fit and once as a final assembly.
Ill take some progress pics today and try to get them posted tonight.
I should also note, my progress is slower than some because im a cheapskate, ill wait for good deals on materials to pop up. As noted previously, my plywood for the floor was free from work, I've also grabbed some 1x6 and 1x8 cutoffs that I used for framing the curves. I've acquired about 2 dozen old kitchen cabinets and use them for storage in the basement, ill be taking some of the doors and drawers for use in the camper , more freebies. Well sorta, i did have to help with the remodels.

Got the bathroom walls done and set into place. Tried to fit the entry door and, it wont fit the start of the opening, about 1/8" too wide. Going to have to redo whats there whic isn't much fortunately. Thanks.
The bed may or may not work out, depending on how flexible the mattress is. But it was easy enough to add now.
I was hoping to keep the length shorter but to get the curve for the rear i had to go to a larger radius and gained about 8 inches. Fortunately it's almost all empty space so not much of a weight concern and does allow for a larger vanity. Speaking of, I probably aught to start that to stabilize the tail end.

I can see I'll learn alot from your work on yours. Plus the ideas!!
I like the captains chair idea. They would be much more comfortable than a standard dinet or even a camper couch set up. But wonder if I can afford to loose the storage underneath. Will definitely keep that in mind as I see what I have to work with.
I've also considered a frame extension off the back, moreso for hauling of an outdoor grill and griddle I hope to use often for cooking. with my thought of relocating my bed to the front I believe I can equal out the tongue weight. I intend to use the storage underneath the bed for some heavier items.
I too am trying to gain everything as cheap as possible. The camper itself is being given to me as a favor for moving a building for the owner, so $200 is what I have in it so far (just wish it'd quit raining here in SoKY so I can get it moved)
Anxious to continue reading your progress reports. Thanks.

Captain chairs are our pick for travel, they bolt to the floor so we don't have to stow them while towing. If you're not towing often, some nice regular chairs will work and be easier to find.
While I did stretch the frame, its mainly to accommodate the larger bathroom. To keep the balance while towing, i relocated the gray and fresh water tanks. Also moved the fridge 3 feet forward, ac unit is moving forward, electric box moving forward, and plan to run dual propane tanks, dual batteries and perhaps the spare tire on the tongue.
Honestly, if momma could have lived with the entry door close to the bed, i wouldn't have lengthened it as much and just dealt with a smaller kitchen area.
FWIW, don't just trust my judgment here, this is a first for me.
To paraphrase Larry, I'll make mistakes so you don't have to, I just don't know what they are yet!
