1954 Shasta frame off restor My trailer has no toilet just a sink so aren’t I looking at a hole in the tank for the P -trap, a hole for the guillotine valve and some vent system? Do I really need to put a 1 1/2 vent pipe from my gray tank through the trailer and out the roof? Isn’t there a much less obtrusive, equally productive approach? Any videos out there that don’t include directions on plumbing showers and toilets too? I Just need simple.

I have a 1954 Shasta and most of the cabinetry is missing. .I am wondering, are there any actual factory plans that show factory interior schematics? i.e. tall cabinet height, depth, number of drawers, etc. Or has anyone developed their own set of cabinet and interior plans? OR MAYBE SOMEONE HAS AN ORIGINAL 1954 SHASTA BROCHURE THEY WILL SHARE. thanks mj

Thank you. yes, Modesto is home -I will do that. i can't believe some lumber mill couldn't take the hint from all these posts lamenting the chore of finding QUALITY 4x8' birch panels and produce the same to meet what appears to be an unmet need.

I see nothing posted about any sources less than five hours away from me in CENTRAL California. I am about 80 miles from Fresno, San Francisco and Sacramento, South, West and North , in order. I am having a tough time finding a good source. One place, Aura Hardwoods tells me they have birch from China and some white stuff (which the forum has suggested against). but in 5.2mm and something different in 2.7mm. They suggested something called,"Mirante"?

I live in Central California (Modesto) does anyone know of a good source for quality/trailer worthy birch paneling? Larry at Mobiltec is not recommending Granahi any longer (besides not in business in Northern California) thank you

Thanks-Think I will put a lien on it-that will get me the name of the registered owner and I will see what they want to do.

Thank you.Not sure where Pennsylvania and Ohio came in but I purchased trailer (after Ca. DMV assured me all they needed was a narrative from the seller as to how he acquired it) in ca it has original plate from ca and the vin also matches.

I have a basket case Shasta trailer I acquired. Rather than go to all the time and trouble for a California lien if I knew the registered owner I could contact and get them to sign off. I have the vin and matching license plate but DMV will not give me contact info. Any way to get that without DMV?FYI trailer was abandoned almost 20 years ago but someone keeps paying the $10.00 every 5 years when reg is due. thanks michael at mj111053@gmail.com
