Eureka! I have found it, it is a 1958 or 59 Phoenix, made in Nappanee, Indiana! They have the similar look of a Shasta but not the same build. The wheel wells and low rear end kept me looking and I finally found one just like it on an old eBay post. There is VERY little information about them, but I have one. Ok now I can finish th build and begin total enjoyment, thank you for your help I will post new pictures soon, maybe with snow on the ground.

Daniel did you try mineral spirits or goof off to remove the adhesive from the carpet squares??? It really would be a shame to lose that original floor because of some adhesive. I don't know if mobiltec has run into that problem but you could check out his videos at cannedhamtrailers.com and see what he has. My floor like that was ruined by the door and the kitchen so there was no saving it which really bummed me out. Unfortunately it is all gone. There was rot under it and I just replaced the whole floor. Sorry to bum you and others out. Initially I was thinking of trying to salvage then decided to modernize and it so the kids will fit better and it will be better for bad weather indoor time. I have 4 kids right now and the only way to make the all fit is to adjust the inside. I'll keep the posts coming with updates of the inside as it comes together. If this turns out well, I may look for another one that will remain vintage inside and out.

This is nuts. I brought mine back and am very fortunate with my limited knowledge. Thank you God!

^^^unfortunately the tile was only pretty like that under the benches, the previous owner put down some gross felt square carpet that ruined it. I would love any input you have and come spring if you plan any trips near by let me know so we can meet up and test my new baby out.

I'm with all of you that wish o had a pole barn or someplace to build like that. I can't even get mine into the garage and mid rebuild we have gotten to cold weather. I've tarred mine up and am praying for a calm, clear sky day to uncover and reapply the panels to the roof completely. Great pics.
I cut through and removed my frame bolts, jacked each section up as I removed and slid new floor in. I want to remove the frame bolts again in summer, jack it up like a boat and lip out the trailer to fix any frame issues then. I tebuilt my wheel wells with sheet metal, fiber board/sound board and ply so they look a little better from the inside. Still have a lot to do but I enjoy the work it seems to be therapeutic.

I don't know how many times I have had to point people new to this forum to the photos tutorial in the Rules and Info section. Perhaps you should add something to the name of the section like NEWBIES START HERE... or something. You would think that most people would start with the rules and info. Also maybe we need a GREETINGS section where people can introduce themselves? I know there is a Talk About Your Trailer section but that doesn't really say it for the greetings. My that sounds just like my rants in school. I'm a teacher and I swear I say "how many times must I repeat myself" every day and I will still have to say it again on Monday. Welcome to the education system, you are now an honorary school teacher.

Wow you all rock. Thank you so much for all of the insight. I had very similar thoughts on the Shasta/not a Shasta identifiers. The front window has always been the main kicker that has steered me from thinking Shasta. I have watched a lot of the videos on mobiletecs site and always had the sneaking suspicion it wasn't a Shasta, what is it... so I'll look at Zippers and Nomads now. I found it in Grand Rapids Michigan and pulled it back to Sterling Hgts. Michigan about three hours away. It was a fun slooow trip.my wife and I have been to all 48 of the contiguous United States, but we tent camped. This is our first camper and we are rebuilding it to take the family back to the places we loved. Thanks again for all of your help.

Great job, I noted your comment on the bead board not bending well, in the future you might try doing a partial cut on the backs every half inch or so. Just a thought.

Thank you! mobiletec Thank you for all the videos. I have what I think is a Shasta, not sure if that is a good thing anymore from all the negative on how they built them. I bought it for $300 figuring if it doesn't work out I'm not out much. I did gut it and am rebuilding from the inside out... I know you posted I amdoing it wrong but don't have a large area to strip it. I took off the roof and replaced the joists, the paneling and the floor which was bolted through the stringers on the floor and sound board. I thickened up the floor with all new sound board and new treated ply. Reseated the new stringers and replaces the rotted 2x2s and beefed up the front and back bottom with treated 2x6 to secure to the frame. I am making this for family comfort rather than vintage as many people may cringe, I'm sorry. I'm using pvc/fiberglass panels that are waterproof and won't rot along with screws that wont rust or loosen like the original nails and those aweful bow tie/clutch screws they used in the past, God I hope I never see another one of those in my life. Any suggestions or information on my camper is welcome, as I stated it is to be a family retreat, not a retro glamper. I'll be asking more questions when I can load pictures but for now, Thank you in advance. Daniel
