Husband checked frame, and seller sent pictures of skin off wood replacement. Underside application of some black coating applied by husband (a car guy, mechanic) A previous owner made some changes that can't easily be undone, so I'm just going to go with them. The walls are a chintzy original ugly paneling, painted white with the exception of the back wall, so I'm staying what. Original floor in good shape, galley area original.Closet wall was extended to enlarge for a bathroom area no toilet)so the bench is shortened.A cabinet was built on other bench, so Bence's are the same length. Plumbing, electyric and propane are good. It won't be "purebred", but neither will it be totally blamed up, sort of a hybrid I guess. Currently cleaning off lots of grime and not is there lots of it!

Husband says front jack to our 1968 Shasta Compact is kaput. He would like to replace it with one with a wheel on the bottom. Problem is finding one with a small enough circumference to fit the hitch. Would appreciate any help in locating one to fit. We're just getting started on getting it spiffed up. Floor and frame are solid, plumbing, propane, electric checked. This will not be a total original redo, since some things were done by the po that can't be easily reversed, but we're preserving what is still original, with our newbie skills.

I have been looking for shelves, and bins to restore my vintage refrigerator. I came across photos of these old GE refrigerators with lazy susan shelves. How cool is that? They don't make them like they used to! Had shelves like this in my childhood fridge.Opened the door once, rolled the shelf looking and our cat was on it! Good memory😀

Well.lessons learned and more to come I'm sure. Bought from the site Little Vintage Trailer, saw pictures asked lots of questions. First the experience withUShip was less than stellar, poor communication, contacts changed, cost changed. Then day of delivery kept being changed. On the way, the driver saw smoke coming out of the door. The po had placed a battery and charger under the bench, no venting, loose, with wires connected. The battery split and battery acid melted the wires and ran out the bottom.
Nothing inside had been cleaned.sink faucets dripped, pipes leaked and mostly cosmetic. DH is making sure all the systems are safe. We want to coat the underparts but don't know what to use Also, the original gas lamp is above the stove, what's the best thing to use to shine up the metal parts on it and on the stove and to clean the stove burners? Thanks, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
