thought I'd add my bit.
I did not go with 30amp. unless your using an A/C 10amp is good.
All my lights in my trailer is now 12v some LED some not.
I have two golf cart batteries 6v each wich make 12v on the trailer and 2 12v on the truck (I know, over kill)
inverter(2000w) and converter. not hard to install.
110v breaker panel ( two breakers ) @ 5 amps each
and 12v fusses.
3 hidden 110v plugs (tv/hot water) and one for kettle/other
The trick is , know what your going to use them for. my converter only powers 1 plug (tv) if I'm not plugged into shore I'm not going to use the kettle.
SuzieQ hit it right on the nose. We can help. We can help you understand as well. It's a lot to take in.
Cheers BM

I'm right up there with you in the fear with bears. I hate it.
I find it harder to back up the 12' trailer harder than the 28' trailer. The 12' reacts a lot quicker.
The best way to date for me to back into a camp stop is. The wife steers and I tell her to turn left or right. this works well when hooking up the big trailer. 600lbs on the tongue means you just can't give it nudge with your foot or knee. you have to be straight under it.
I have had 2 two trailers (small boat) pop off on me. The safety chains held well til I came to a stop.
Did I mention I hate bears? ya, I did

loungebait. when you enter into the trailer, you are baited to relax. and being a Rainbow as in rainbow trout. that is the bait part. a fish term.

there is a trailer club up here that has some trailers in it that are so theme decorated (inside and out) so much that it is full of nick nacks. One would have to go outside to change his/her mind. And some would give me a headache with all the accessories tucked in every spare inch of the trailer. I choose the classy look over over deck-out look. Last week I just came back from a bluegrass festival with 200 campers in a field with instruments and as I parked in my driveway a guy came up to me (yard sale next door) and said " you don't camp in this, do you?" I said "of course I do". What I'm trying to say is, I'm a camper. I have a old radio and coke bottle with a flower in it and that is the extent of my inside decorations. On the outside I hung patio lights of little trailers. I don't beat the trailer up because ,blood sweat and tears went into it, but I will use it as a trailer to go camping in.
I'm Brent, and this in my rant

very good point. I know that I'm a generous person and I have no problem spending my time to help them. I traded a fiddle for a boat awhile back. My fiddle, french 1880's. Boat 1992 bayliner 22ft cuddycabin /w trailer. It sat outside for years and had lots of growth on it. The engine ( core) was new but apart and not in the boat. when I was done. It was beautiful, She ask to use it and I let her. I never drove it again. destroyed the leg, prop, drive shaft, shift linkage, and it took on water 6" a day. she never paid for the damage. sold the boat/trailer for $600 Live and learn. even if it is family
