Welcome Justinrieff, it's really a pretty little trailer! I've not heard of Skylarks.
Most leaks are caused by bad putty, especially at the J rails (edge trim). Trailers with past leaks often have some pretty nasty rot at the bottom. I suggest you loosen the skins and take a look.
Also, check the air conditioner seal. If you take the inside plenum off, you will see four bolts. If there's no daylight showing, you might be able to snug the A/C and reset the seal. (It's a rubber thing)
Anytime you see caulk or slop on the roof is a time to be suspicious. People don't try to goop their trailers unless they are leaking.
We are here to help. Look around and check out some of Mobiltec's Youtube videos.

I have 2 Skylark campers. A 1958 13 ft. canned ham and a 16 ft. 1972 travel trailer.I have not been able to find info or even many photos of vintage Skylark campers. I hope we get some response from the forum folks.
I have seen a few photos on a google photo search for vintage campers that were titled Skylark, Shasta. I also have asked the forum for info as to the possibility that they were made by Shasta and offered as a lower cost alternative to the Shasta brand.
There have been campers made in the last 20 years or so that were sold under the Skylark name.
