It looks like the 16SCS. That looks identical, do you know if this model was in production in 1966? I’ll get you the vin in a bit

Don't take any of this as gospel, but so far as I can tell... The 16SC was started production in 1960, along with some other models (like the Compact). It was set up to be self-contained and could be used comfortably with or without hookups. I think the 16SCS was introduced in 1963. It offered the floor plan you see, with lotsa sleeping room toward the front, and offered the shower facility. This model was continued until around '68, when they changed the exterior to the gold-stripe styling, and offered the full wet bath in the 16SC model. This was when they began offering the Stratoflyte model, with the rearward entry door and all the sleeping room forward. The Stratoflyte was built on an 18-foot and 20-foot platform, stretching the floor plan. Short answer, from what I have seen over the years, the 16SCS model existed as such from about 1962 until 1968.
Your VIN should also have a letter prefix, which was indication of the plant where it was built. Dating the year of manufacture can only be approximated, as the VIN numbers were a simple series for each plant, and did not encode any manufacture information, just how many had rolled off the assembly line before it.

There is a small plate that is attached to the side of the trailer, by the grab bar next to the door. It will have the plant location on it. If you have trouble with finding the letter, it corresponds with the plant...For instance, Leola Pennsylvania would be a "P", Goshen Indiana would be a "V". There are others. Sometimes it helps to identify it if you know what you are looking for.
I suspect it probably came from the Indiana plant, but that is another W-A-G.

Im not sure what years this applies to, but if there is an original mirror in the trailer, the year of the trailer could be stamped on the back. This worked with our 1963 16SC, the year was actually stamped on the back of it when we removed it. Be very careful when removing the mirror though as the plastic brackets get brittle and could snap.

You can also look under the original sink on the bottom or the side somewhere. They are usually dated as well.
