Hey my kind of person if we can't laugh at each other where is the joy in life. My theory is let the first person who never messed up stand up and then we can say we have seen God.

I found the backing scene from "The Long Long Trailer". It's part of this movie trailer...

When it comes to backing a trailer my husband and I normally reverse rolls. Don’t get me wrong he knows how to back a trailer but I have had more practice at it. I worked in urban forestry for a number of years and I’m in the national guard in a job where I have to know how to back trailers. First and most important ground guide, ground guide, ground guide, I can’t stress that enough. But it must be someone who the driver understands instructions and signals from and trust. My husband doesn’t always use the correct words or signals but I understand his instructions, and that’s the important thing.
When we have to work on our campers the only place on our property that is flat enough and has power hookup is at the back door, uphill and around the side backings the camper to the right. In a space about 15 or so feet wide and I say again uphill so steep I must put the Jeep in 4x4 no fun but we get done because he trusts my backing skills and I trust him to keep me from doing any damage to the camper, house, or 4 foot retaining wall that the camper must be backed between to work on it. I love the NC mountains and the property that my house sets on but it does make for interesting parking on the side of a mountain.
Communication is the key.......
Teamwork is another plus. Debra

Backing up any type of trailer is much like riding a bicycle, you can go along time without doing it but it comes back pretty quickly after a mistake or two.
I don't get the giant motor home thing anyway, the cost of these behemoths not to mention the fuel it takes to feed them and why not stay in a motel?
I have a friend that purchased a 350,000 dollar MH with all the bells & whistles and after the second trip his wife refuses to go anywhere with him in it, they could have been the people Larry is referring to. Danny
