I don't think it will work in a trailer. It requires a wall at a minimum of 4 1/2" thickness. Not sure if that's because of the vent or not. It's 8K BTU which is a LOT in a small trailer. I would contact the manufacturer and find out why they want that thick of a wall?
Also, it weighs 50 pounds which is heavy in a ham. Be interesting to do some research.

My guess is that since most buildings are at least 2x4 construction that is why it is designed with a 4 1/2" minimum wall.

Windows fogging up is just a minor inconvenience. We've experienced times when blankets next to an outside wall actually get wet from condensation. This is with a vented Attwood furnace. Just our breath and cooking moisture is enough to cause a problem in really cold weather. We keep a couple of windows cracked, but still have problems. Usually it is the aluminum window frames that cause the most condensation. Wet bedding really sucks and is really hard to remedy in the boonies.
