The wife told me one day that the spot by the door made her sick. After I patched it it has never leaked but the damage from when I first happened was still there. I had cleaned it up and it looked better but this is what I had to start with. Untitled by Clint Dansie, on Flickr The Back window glass was missing when I first got it (a piece of broken ill fitting plastic was there) so, it was also taken out and a the entire window was restored first thing. They had completely destroyed the original tile with these press and stick, they also the used liquid nail again to glue some NOT so lovely shag carpet in a few places, looking back I'd forgotten how nasty this thing was when we brought it home. I did NOT want to vent the fridge inside like is was originally. So I put a bump up in the back like I had seen on many others this also allows me to move the upper vent a little farther up, and use the law of thermodynamics. the water and gas lines are run under, there are 3/4 channels. Shasta Astrodome 1963 resto by Clint Dansie, on Flickr On the sided is a spot for our drinking water, we normally use a large round cooler for drinking water and just use the trailer water for cleaning. Thats why it has a weird shape to it. That top piece also serves to hold the pull out bed. The floor is raised so the water can run under it and as an added benefit it holds the water cooler off the floor a little so it can be used in place. After all that with the other half saying she didn't like some of the panels it was time to get serious. Therefore it has to come apart. Enough of this just lifting the lower skins, All the skins are coming off. As soon as I can get all that silicone the PO slathered on. Here you can see the patch that I made for under the door, and the new door, I added a few decorative beads for strength at the bottom. The angle on the beading detail also matches the back slash on the new wings. 20180725_174241 by Clint Dansie, on Flickr I put the patch in when I first got the Shasta but it came with the extra silicone for Free (YUK!). 20180725_174306 by Clint Dansie, on Flickr The other side with the new fridge vents installed. 20180725_174342 by Clint Dansie, on Flickr

An easy way to move things with a front mounted ball. by Clint Dansie, on Flickr Going to try to retain the original skins. I'm constantly debating this choice, but I think I can add some neat details with the patches and I like keeping the history. After the top skin was off we can see what is really going on. The spot over the closet is the worst, as expected. The surprising part is the rest is in great shape really NO ROT. I thought I would find some rotted top framing or a broken one or two, much to my amazement nothing broken or rotted, but warped. Weird thing about this is it seems to be built this way the walls and sill boards are in great shape so the walls are in the correct place. the cabinets (minus the closet) is in great shape, yet even the closet is dimensionally sound. You can see the HUGE knot on the board far right. 20180804_131132_001 by Clint Dansie, on Flickr Also despite the sagging roof the width is still exactly 7 ft. I would think if the wall were pulled in it would be less, it's not. The walls are straight, and completely aligned, with each other. 20180730_185840 by Clint Dansie, on Flickr 20180730_185927 by Clint Dansie, on Flickr

Here is a better shot of the new fridge cabinet and the new Dickenson marine stove top. dickinsonmarine.com/product/two-burner-propane-drop-in-cooktop/Shasta Astrodome 1963 resto by Clint Dansie, on Flickr Also that grey Wire is the only 14ga A/C everything else is heavier. That 14 goes to a shallow box CGFI outlet above the counter. It's behind the home Depot sack. That small fan on the wall is one of two that will help to blow air over the cooling fins to help prolong the life of the fridge and increase efficiency.
