Hi. Greetings from at last chilly Québec. My Bonair trailer has often been modified over the last 29 years. I want to weigh it. I have an old scale on wheels. If I weigh each end of the rear bumper and the front hitch, would the sum of the 3 weights be the trailer's accurate weight ? Thanks for your help .

Welcome Quebec!
Hello tinytrailerman,
Find a transfer station, dump, landfill, or landscape supply company where you'll find a scale. Drive on, drop the trailer from the tow vehicle, and you'll know the weight. Just remember that the empty weight can be quite different from loaded weight.

Normally in most places you can tow it to a scale and back for weighing without a plate or can you purchase a temporary plate?

I dont know about Canada, Here, if You would be transporting to weigh for titling purposes, and if stopped by LEO, and explained the situation, They would let You get by on that. Just be sure if You do to pack the bill of sale along. Also, over here. If a notarized bill of sale, or title, istaken to the sherriffs office, or dispatch center, they will issue a twenty day permit. Welcome to the forum Tiny.
