Hello all, I am brand new to the site, I contacted mobiltec for some help identifying a trailer that I'm looking at and he suggested I start here. I know it is a Frolic and have talked with the owner, however he does not know much more than that either. Mainly I'm interested in finding out what year it is, but then I'm ill be interested finding out as much as I can about restoring it, where to buy parts, ways to refurbish what I already have etc...

I have some pics of the interior but he is using this as a storeage bin right now and it is packed full of junk so the images are actually kind of useless. The woodgrain inside is in very nice shape though from what I could see of it.
He asked me what I thought it was worth, a sales tactic that I hate, so I threw out what I thought was a ridiculous low offer of $500, he seemed to think that was ok. Would I be overpaying at that price?

I don't know much about the Frolics, but from what I can tell from the photos and what I know about the market for old campers the last few years, $500 would not be a bad ballpark figure to start out. I've seen a lot worse go fo a lot more.

If you like this trailer then $500 is nothing. Take it. What I really like is that this trailer has a dome AND a trunk. I like trailers with trunks. I'm not much of a dome lover though because that's where they tend to start leaking first and that's where they leak the worst from what I've seen. If yours isn't leaking at the dome then you are getting it just in time to make sure it never does... A reseal will keep your trailer water tight. But it needs to be done soon. I would tarp that trailer right now just to make sure no new damage occurs to it.
By the way I don't think we knew it was a frolic when we talked. But I talk to so many people every day I get them all mixed up sometimes. Cute trailer you have there. Worth restoring if it's what you like. One thing I noticed is that they have every conceivable type of pattern on the outside aluminum skin ever made LOL... Steve Loomis at Hemet Valley RV Siding would have a field day with this one.

Steve at Hemet refuses to work with me via email. I have tried several times to contact them and it's always Steve, call him. Well, I can't hear on the phone... very disappointing company to deal with.

Well, I can't hear on the phone... very disappointing company to deal with. It usually takes an hour to two hours on the phone for Steve to take an order. He always has to explain how to take measurements and talk to people about the different patterns and stuff. I imagine that's why he doesn't want to converse via email. Besides he doesn't type very well. Not really a computer person. What did you want to talk to him about Vikx?

From what I have seen in the various classified add sites, 500 dollars is a very reasonable price. If it were Me, and I had the funds, I would not hesitate to jump right onto that deal.

No response other than "call for information". After explaining my hearing difficulties, there was no response at all. I've given up trying to work with Hemet. It seems that Steve is the only person that takes orders? I would think a person could dictate to someone who can type.

I'm going to be doing a video that is all about "How To Order Your Metal Siding and Roofing" soon. It will also have a downloadable link for the order forms. This should make it much easier for everyone including people with hearing disabilities.
