I can't, but don't have the experience to see what you are.

I would guess center molding on ceiling and corner molding instead of gimp.

I would guess center molding on ceiling and corner molding instead of gimp. I'm gonna try to use corner molding. I don't like the way gimp looks. The color never matches. Always looks like it's out of place to me

Always looks like it's out of place to me Gimp serves a dual purpose. Other than bringing a finished look to the inside corners where paneling meets paneling or cabinets, it keeps the wood from squeeking when you are moving around in the trailer. You won't believe how irritating that can be.

Paneling is different, table is wrong, curtains are ugly along with the upholstery, that's a 20 amp plug and we all know he's wired it with 14/2, stove is updated but wrong, diamond plate is cool, don't care for the light fixture on the ceiling, never paint the windows or drip rails, no tail light wiring and the road side gas bottle is 3/16" lower than the other one, safety chains are too short

Molding in the rear.
Wood under the front window.
Center trim in the middle of the ceiling.

Good test, Larry. I can't find them. I wouldn't have caught them. But, it looks like ALL the cabinetry was replaced with modern. It's like someone used "wood" as seen in current RV's and placed it inside. Modern build techniques? None of the original cabinetry was re used. Diamond plate could indicate quick fix, but not always. Should the stove be near the bed? I usually see them on the right near the dinette. I think you all got this wrong. He just took a new Shasta and then reskinned it with old skin. Also, not that this is important, but the trailer is in Medford, Oregon and the seller is posting the CL ad in Orange county, Southern California. That's 700 miles south. Not that it's significant, but may indicate a "sophisticated" seller. Cheers, Rod

Wait... are they seriously asking $25,000.00!!!! I had to go look twice. Yes and I believe there are two reasons for advertising in Orange County, CA rather than Oregon. One... More people in Orange County CA have a lot more money to spend. Two... and this is the worst part... Selling out of state pretty much finalizes the deal before anyone can inspect the trailer. NEVER buy a trailer you can not go inspect first. I highly doubt that this trailer will sell for the asking price. I don't think it would go for much more than about $6500 and it's not even worth that if they didn't replace all of the rotten wood.

So, what is your professional opinion of what was done wrong mobiltec ? Well everything that I saw was mentioned here. First thing I noticed was the seam in the center of the ceiling panel where the light is. Also noticed the corner molding instead of gimp right away and that's a dead give-away. The ceiling is also sagging which new framing shouldn't be doing. I would be willing to bet that the front wall under the window was sagging which most likely explains the diamond plate. The paneling looks strange. I think it's a photographic veneer. Cheap crap if you will. But I could be wrong about that. And why they painted the brows and window frames I will never figure out. Lazy I guess. A $25k trailer should be maxed out with shiny details. Some things you just don't paint. No doubt a fair amount of work went into this trailer but it was all done in vain if they didn't replace the rot and replace it properly. I would have to see photos of the build to believe that it was done right. And even if it was done right, this trailer does not command a sticker price of $25k. Done properly (which it wasn't) it could bring $18k and that's with all the polished stuff polished and birch wood paneling and cabinets. All rot replaced and not a single ding in the metal. The paint job looks like crap too by the way.

Well, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in listing it in Orange County. When I sell something on Craigslist with a limited target audience ($$$ and/or limited interest), sometimes I'll post it within a day's drive or so. Flip side, most of the weird old stuff I buy on Craigslist has been listed the same way, including both the trailers I've bought and a bunch of old cars. If I'm in a smallish city like Medford, it would be a no-brainer.
That said, yeah, obvious signs of having been done from the inside, and it may just be the shots but that sure looks like photo finish MDF cabinetwork rather than veneer.
