Marty, I've seen folks around here do that separate body and frame thing. Usually though with a slide in from a pickup truck. Also it seems a lot of the teardrop guys start with cheap utility trailer.
Larry, yeah my whole build is going to be different but the end goal is to build something with the vintage look that fits our needs. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find any vintage unit that would be a good starting point even if we completely redesign it.

Well I wish you all the luck in the world on your build and it will be a very interesting one to watch. You can't believe how much I learn from my students and viewers. Sometimes when you do as much of this as I do you can't see the forest for the trees. You kind of get snow blind after a while so it takes new thinking and a fresh mind to see new ideas.
