I also saw that and thought it was very pretty. I wonder if there is enough advantage to justify the additional weight? My couch bed is built very light and seems sturdy enough.

Good point, although they sure look nice, and they would either be great for creating sections for storing stuff, or they might be annoying because you cant store big or long things. I just love when Either way I enjoy seing someone who steps out of the box with design, and it's unique and appealing.

I have seen similar type stuff done in teardrop construction. It's amazing what people will do to save weight. A few oz here, a few there.. next thing you know you've save a 100 lbs!

that framing also adds some good, needed strength to an otherwise sag-susceptible area. Definitely worth the loss of storage space, so thinks me.

Trying to save a few ounces of weight there in the rear end when the rest of the framing is solid beef is kind of ironic... It's kinda like ordering 4 cheeseburgers, two orders of curly fries and then a "Diet Coke".... (because you are on a diet?) Beautifully done though.

I like the way that guy that did the framing thinks. I`ll bet it will not blow apart int he wind. LOL Looks very sturdy. I have seen a few pics. of campers with the extended over the frame back ends and it seems a lot of them have sagged. That appears it will stay right for a very long time.

I was looking at this and it occurred to me that if he had a side hatch he could store his awning poles in the circular openings.

Is this a one off or a restore. Nice work. Should skin it with Lexan
