I'm glad someone on reddit suggested this forum to me, it seems to be exactly what I need. My wife and I just started on a mid-60s Phoenix. We're not sure on the exact year. We bought it knowing that it had lots of water damage, and that we'd be taking it all apart and putting it back together again. We have fun working on it together (so far). I'm in Florida, and it's humid a lot and rains a lot. My main focus throughout will be moisture control, so I'll be doing lots of research on here for the best way to do that. I'm not sure if blog links are allowed, but a log of my build (and a lot more pics) is * here.* I'm not trying to monetize or get a bunch of views, it's mainly for myself to look back and see what I've done or haven't done, or when something was completed. When we moved it into the carport: Its current state:

WELCOME to our mad house. It's so refreshing to see a new member who has already started working on their trailer and doing it in the proper order. You began your work perfectly. By removing the metal skin first. So many people make the common mistake of demolishing the inside of the trailer first. You're WAY ahead of the game now. We're here to help. We all take a lot of pride in our work and we love to help others do the same.

Just looked at your blog. Looks like the previous owner re-covered over the old roof with plywood and rubber membrane. It's amazing the things that people do to try to eliminate leaks. Replacing the metal roof is only a two day job. I bet that took them a week or better.
Make sure to keep track of all measurements and document everything you do. Your blog is a great way to do that.
