Hi all, new member here with a 1967 Shasta Airflyte. Sloooowly working on repairing, remodeling and in a nutshell...getting her back to her beauty. Brought it home about 6 months ago, managed to do several repairs already but of course a ton of things left on my list before the maiden voyage.
Couple of things already done: Replaced broken front glass Replaced and wired in a chandelier in the dining area Sealed the roof with a TPO rubber sealant (I believe my wife found on here) Tore the floor out in the rear of the trailer, replaced damaged joists, replaced insulation, replaced flooring Replaced damaged/rotten bed frame Replaced water line and drain at the sink (replaced old pressure gauge) and tested
Next on the list: New junction box New receptacles with usb ports New wiring for the handle by the door Wire cup cleaning and under coating on the frame Replace tongue jack Replace teardrops and brake lights with LED
Should be enough for first thread I suppose.
Thanks for having me here, MCAL

I know you guys wanna see some pics so here's a few Some of the roof work. Of course I found bull on the vent cover so I removed that and installed the Eternabond RV tape. Here's a bad pic (sorry) after 2 coats of the rubber sealant

Welcome mcal67,
Glad you are happy with your Shasta! We don't recommend sealants or tape on the roof, so you probably heard of TPO? elsewhere?
Regardless, we always recommend lifting the skins to repair rot and never applying sealants. Water seeks the lowest point, so much of trailer rot is coming from the top, trickles down the walls and rots the skirts/sills. Check your edge trim/awning rails for bad putty. Putty fails after about 15 years (or sooner) so that is a likely water ingress area.
We are here to help.
