That fridge does not require 12 volts to run. Look for "piezo ignition" on the units you like. There aren't many manual fridges out there, so be sure before you buy. Also, the price seems VERY high for the NC300 series. I believe we got our 300N delivered for under $700...

I 'think' it was PPL Motorhomes but it was 4 years ago or so. Do a search for the model you choose. There might be a dented unit, an open box, etc...

If you plan on keeping the camper for a long time and will use it often, I'd go with the Norcold even at $700. Makes "camping" much more enjoyable. You can use the freezer to make block ice for coolers with juice containers. Ours stays on, running on propane, even while travelling. It hardly uses any LP at all, since it is really just a pilot light that makes it work. Just as an aside, the door panel can be replaced with a real birch (or other wood panel) to match the interior. Sometimes you can find someone parting out a camper on C-list and score a really good deal.
