Can anyone help me ID this hand pump and/or lead me to a parts source? I need a new faucet and the collar that holds it to the base. The one pictured is not mine but is identical to what I have and it looks too cool to not try and save. Thanks! Randy

There are two of this style vintage pump that were used. The one pictured was produced in Europe somewhere. The other one was U.S. made. They are really great pumps and are practically bullet proof. They are easilly dis-assembled and the O-ring seals replaced. The bottom of the main cylinder tube had a leather ring seal which you will probably not be able to find. These can be replaced with an O-ring, which will work but make sure that you get the proper size. It will probably be a trial and error effort. If the O-ring is to large it will not slide easily in the tube and be very hard to pump. These pumps have not been produced for many years so there are no repair kits available. You can lubricate the main O-ring with a light coating of vegetable oil so it slides easily in the main tube. Do not use any lubricant containing silicone. You should be able to find the O-rings that you need in the plumbing section of any hardware or big box store.

Forgot to mention that the faucet you need has about a 2" flange that sits on your counter and has a large washer and nut that secures it to the counter. They are frequently available on ebay. Usually you will need to replace the stem seal and packing. Make sure the faucet is free of any bug nest inside the spout. I recently cleaned one that had been in trailer which had not been used for 20+ years. The spout was packed solid with hard dirt.
