You're not going to like this answer, but you need a smaller basin wrench. That's another reason plumbing is unloved...you keep buying tools you'll use only once. And a job that should take 90 seconds takes all day because you're jammed in a ridiculously tight space.
It's too late now but installing the faucet and supply line before putting the counter top in place is often easier.

Depending on how long the threads are, a deep well socket and an extension might work.
Other than that, it might be easier to remove the sink, tighten the faucet then stick the sink back into the hole.
A crows foot wrench might also work. They come in open and box end. Usually the box end is a 12 point which would give You better options for turning the nut.

I haven't played with the faucet in the Airflyte, but the double faucet on the double-pit sink in the 16SC required removal of the sink basin. It really is not that difficult to do, and even though it is one more step, it will save buying more tools on a trial-and-error basis. I believe you just need to remove the trim ring around the top and the basin lifts out. There is some putty tape involved, and un-plumbing and re-plumbing of the drain, but that is all quite straightforward as well.

That is how I had planned on doing it but It wouldn't work. The way the compact counters are done in two separate pieces with the bottom one being screwed down then the formica cemented to another piece of wood floating on top of that. If I would have rebuilt them with only one piece of wood then I could have easily done it that way. But silly me wasn't thinking that far ahead. These are what ended up doing the trick. These are what ended up doing the trick. They are from Harbor Freight, but im pretty sure HD and Lowes carries them too. The socket fits the nut with the supply line running through it? |

nccamper, another thing I should have done. I havent hooked up the line to that one yet. It started raining and had to bag up the camper. I think it would have fit over it though.
