If Your on a computer, open another tab, PB on one tab, VTT on the other, then toggle between the two. Those pieces look very nice.

Welting

Should welting be on the back of every cabinet? Or just on the back of the end cabinets that have a visible seam where the cabinet and wall meet? It's been said that the welting cuts down on squeaking and should be everywhere that wood will meet wood. However I am concerned that installing it on the back of a cabinet where it will meet another cabinet will make installation hard/not flush. Am I thinking of this correctly? Unless you tell me otherwise, I intend to install welting in the following places: 1. Around the entire perimeter of each side wall 2. Around the top of any floor-to-ceiling cabinet. 3. Around the bulkhead cabinets (over the dinette and the bed). 4. Along the back of any cabinet with a visible seam where the cabinet meets the wall (the back edge of the two cabinets by the bed, the front edge of the cabinet at the door, and the front edge of the cabinet by the dinette). Have I missed any places I should use welting on? I know some people use it on the floor, but I really don't want to, as the dirty factor is a bigger deal than the squeaking to me. Thanks! I staple the welting to the cabinets with just the bulb overhanging as well. The cabinets are attached to the wall before the ceiling panels. Sometimes I have to brace the upper cabinets before the rafters are in place. The welting is checked closely for positioning before the ceiling is tacked in place. Once they are attached thru the rafters, the cabinets are very secure and the welting fills any small gaps.

I don't usually put welting between the wall and cabinet body. If it fits tight, no problem. Others may chime in and do it differently.

I would highly recommend that you use an air stapler or an electric one.

I admittedly overdo the welting. I put it between any two elements (like cabinet and floor) where a noise may be produced by shifting. I prefer darker tan welting because it blends into the woodwork and draws less attention to itself.
