I purchased a Shasta last fall and have been working on its restoration. Don't know if it's an Astroflyte or Starflyte. I do know it's a '66 and built in Battle Ground, WA. The VIN is W2153. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ruthie

If it has a dome, it's not a Starflyte... I'm going to move this thread to Ross' Shasta VIN info thread.

ruthie, There's noway for me to say what Shasta model you may have. All I can give you, what year and where it was produced. You are correct on the year and where your Shasta was born. If you can post a picture or two, that would help. Ross

Hi ruthie, Maybe this would help: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/34/shasta-airflyte-astroflyte-starflyteThe early Astroflyte was one of the models with the bunk over the hitch, but when it was brought back in the mid-60's, it had the bunk removed. (Actually it was one of the first that had the front interior fold-down bunk, taking the place of the bumped out bunk feature.) Generally, the Airflyte, Astroflyte, and new Starflyte were built on the same basic platform. The largest feature difference was teh bath facilities. The Airflyte still had none; The Astroflyte had the potty closet with the marine toilet and holding tank: The Starflyte was equipped with a full wetbath, with the toilet and shower.

tsjwally Your Shasta's vin# is already in the database. You have a 1971 Shasta Loflyte.
