I have a 1965 Aristocrat LoLiner and am having a hard time finding a park that will allow older trailers. Does anyone have information on parks that will allow older (1965+) in there parks.

Welcome!
Private RV parks have turned you away? We've camped mostly at State and Federal campgrounds and never had a problem.

Most parks require a trailer to be in good condition or at least look that way. Some do not allow any trailer older than 10 years old, so call ahead. As NC said, most public parks will allow your trailer. Many campgrounds also require a dump tank for the sink (grey) water. (not allowed to run on the ground)

The private park where Hamlet sandbI spent a couple years didn't take old trailers either...until they saw Hamlet and realized that he was much better looking than any other trailer there. I had people come by all summer, both summers and ask questions, etc. several othe folks coming through Portland in their old campers were allowed short visits too. So I'd suggest that younexplain clearly that it's not old, it's vintage and very special.

We are traveling across the USA (2nd time) we have never been turned away from the door of the campground. But our trailer is not rusty or ugly. But not a perfect trailer by all means.

I can help some with this. My brother and sister manage a park. (Which as far as I know, does not have age restriction guidelines.). Parks get stuck with abandoned trailers all the time. Not too long back a guy they know lent his decent 90's trailer to a family that was on hard times and it went in the park. The trailer ended up trashed inside with all the appliances ruined and the family bailed in the night. . He has no place to store it. Now, he has, what he considers a basically useless trailer stuck in the park, paying space rent. If it was not him, but the family, it would just be abandoned and it would be the park's problem to get rid of it. (Which, as we all know, without paperwork, is a giant pain in the butt.) The issue, is that the managers need to be able to evaluate the people, not the trailers, but since often, they can't, they start some basic enforceable guidelines about the trailers. Those guidelines can usually be waived Fortunately for me, he now just wants it out of there. Guess who is going on another free trailer run on Sunday! (With nice legal paperwork!) Happy Trails, Ginger

I think you will find that issue in resort areas. Other than once or twice in 16 years of vintage camper camping we have not seen that. Any Corps of engineers parks, State Parks, & County parks will be fine . Also KOA will take you. Don't ask don't tell.
