Since I've started on this crazy journey I've been paying more attention to the old campers in back yards in my area. Mind you, I'm not interested in these units as I plan to start from scratch.
But I figure some members here may have an interest.
Also, I don't know the owners and I'm not terribly interested in getting involved in being the middle man Inna sale. So what's the rule of thumb here on disclosing the location of these relics?

I would post a photo of a camper you've found and tell anybody interested to send you a personal message through the link above.
It's always fun seeing what people have found in thier travels.
I've never found anything in NC.

No need to be the middle man. They can contact the owner thru you and then you're out of it...
We don't allow advertising or for sale links on the open board but it's always interesting to see what's out there. Please post a photo of your finds. There is a For Sale section which all members with 50+ posts can view as well. There, we allow links to Craigs or eBay, etc. It's mostly for our discussion on a trailer's worth, "restored" or not, flaws that we think are obvious, that sort of thing.
VTT's goal is to educate and help vintage trailer enthusiasts. We had to restrict our For Sale comments to keep our opinions private. One instance comes to mind where we were on the seller's side because her price was too LOW. That doesn't happen often... Needless to say, the seller was displeased, so we restricted the For Sale section.

Yeah these things are just sitting there, no for sale signs or anything. One appears to maybe be an Airflite.
I suppose I can snap pics at least and post them.

A good place might be under "The Hunt" or Vintage trailer Pictures"..then, if they become available for purchase at some future time it could be noted there....

to VTT ruderunner. I'm going to be a bit cheeky and say, you have been a Member for a week and already have half the number of posts to qualify to put For Sale threads on the board, so it should not be too long before you can post the photos of what you are discovering most anywhere within the Forum. I think the suggestion that photos be placed in the hunt might be reasonable, if what you are seeing is eye-catching and merits consideration for a rebuild. Simply posting a few photos of boxy mid 70's and later campers really won't generate much real enthusiasm, but the occasional canned ham that isn't a basket case would warrant the start of dialogue about it imo. Sometimes you will see a discussion where a Member is looking for a specific type camper, and if you have spotted some in your neck of the woods and made a few notes about appearance and condition, and one you have seen fits the description , you could PM the Member and mention what you saw. As an example of that I know our Member SusieQ is enthusiastic about cute, clean, fairly priced vintage Eriba Pucks. If I were to "discover" one that fits the bill, I would immediately send a PM and mention what I saw. I would not post a photo on the Forum first. If I know a Member is specifically looking...I'd give her/him first dibs at it. If s/he said I am going to pass on it, then it gets posted probably in the Hunt., or FS section if I have already found out the owner would consider selling. If you do not want to "middleperson" a potential deal, but you are up for a bit of sleuthing, often times if you spot a camper and can figure out what the address is for the property where it is located, a simple trip to the city/county property records office would be all it would take to get the name of the property owner. Heck, where I live, when I have gone asking about a land owner, the records clerk has usually offered to help me figure out if the land owner has a listed phone number. Pass that along if someone has PM'd you. Personally, I would not post a photo of an interesting "discovery" I am not personally interested in, unless I am willing to help a Member who is interested in it, with identifying a way to possibly contact the owner. Then let the interested Member take the ball you just lateralled and run with it.

So just a follow up to this thread, so far I have found one Airflite (possibly missing a wing) 2 Astro flites (different sizes?), an unknown but looks like Mr Marty's, and another unknown that's white with a gold band (possibly quilted) and bustle back.
If anyone is interested, maybe post in this thread. My work schedule is kind of varied so whether or not I can catch the owners is sketchy.
Or I guess I can just disclose the location of the campers. Note, most are in plain view it the road.

What State are you in?
Hopefully in NC but my guess is out West.
I was going to start a thread for all the vintage hams I've seen in NC over the last 5 years but most of them were in my yard.

Hmm, I know in a few weeks the wife and I will be off work for a shopping trip, maybe we can do a little scouting around then.
And I got another look at the one I thought looks like Arty, y bad. Doesn't have the undercut below the front window. Why is my M key sticking on a touch screen?

I have not seen another like it in the country or the town. LOL Sometimes My I phone acts out on me, I shut it down, boot it back up and all is fine again.

So summer is here and for some reason HiLos are popping up all over. Found 3 within 2 miles of me. They are all recent purchases I guess, they weren't there before. 2 appear useable, one is a mess. Neighbor across the road picked up an 80's unit, big about 30ft split at the front corners. Don't know what he intends to do with it.
Still haven't found what Im looking for as for a donor but I still don't have room for this project. Need to sell a large piece of shop equipment to make room.
And sooner or later I'll find time to get photos and contact info for some of these
