WOW --Bolt 101...I always learn so much from you guys!
I'm needing to figure out what kinda of hitch I need to marry up my Dodge Durango and my 62 oasis. How do I know what kind of hitch to get? Measure the level camper (it's empty right now) ball height and then measure the car's tow bar receiver height? Is it something simple like that or more complex? Sorry if this sounds silly.

Head size vs bolt size can vary. The easiest way to check a bolt's size is to just check the size of the shank with a wrench.

My camper sits stupid low, and I had to buy an 8" drop hitch in order to get it somewhat level behind my '15 Silverado 1500

I see so many people on the road towing a trailer that is leaning back . Sometimes looks like 12" higher in front than on the rear. Wow
