Hi, I am new to the forum, but what better place to be than one that "talks Shasta". I am in the process of acquiring a vintage Shasta... owner told me it was a 1962, however, from the looks of it, I believe it to be a 56/57, but I am not sure how to tell for sure which year it is. Can anyone help me... I don't have it in my possession yet, so I can't provide Vin's or anything, but am wondering how I will be able to tell? Thanks so much... have been viewing Mobiltec's videos and am looking forward to "tearing this baby apart"!

body shape will get you close the 59-64 is the most canned ham shape, there is often a year stamped on the back of the mirror as well as the bottom of the sink, a title is good as well (sometimes.)if you can post up pics someone here can get you real close.

Also, you could look through some of the threads on this forum at other trailers for sale, as well as restoration blogs for those date ranges. That might give you a good idea.

Thank you for your replies... I didn't know how to upload pictures here, you must do it through photobucket or something I think...

Looks an awful lot like my 1956 1500.

Yup. No wings, 57 or earlier 1500.

Thank you all... I spied this when we went to pick up another vintage camper, stopped on the way home and took some photos, then left an old business card with a note on it saying if they were ever interested in selling to give me a call. I had fallen in love with the shape. The call came two months later and I just about died when she told me it was a Shasta... especially way up where I am... got so excited... will go and look at it in person on Sunday, but I've pretty much told her I'll take it sight unseen and we will pick up soon after!
