LOL. I'd pay more, just thinking if Mobil is giddy over it, then it must be dirt cheap..If it were way over priced,he'd have wasted no time telling us, what idiots.. That's the logic I'm going with..

Drum roll please....
It was on it's way to the dump when these people found out about it and gave the owner $500 for it.
So you see. They are still out there and can still be had for a song. When these people contacted me they were going to paint the inside because the wife doesn't like stained paneling. Then I sort of educated them nicely and now they are going to leave it alone and try to get the glue off the original floor which is marmoleum. I invited them to join VTT so let's see if they show up?

I hope that once they got their $500 that the POs put that money in their institution commissary account as soon as they were committed. No one in their right mind, for an instant, would not see value beyond the scrapper or dump for that Cruiser. I am very happy it was saved. Reminds me of the guy who was selling a vintage Travelo on CL up in Pa. that I spoke to a few years back. His ad said he had two old campers in the back of a pole barn for sale. As we were talking on the phone, he mentioned his dad had been dragging old campers back to the farm since the early 50's...mostly ones he got for hauling them off. I asked how many they had all together. He said "these are the last two of around 100". We started clearing them out about 6 months ago. The other ones were lined up in the fields and easy enough to haul to the scrap yard. We just never got around to digging these last 2 out of the barn. Most may have been junk by the time they were hauled off, but I'd bet they would have been a small vintage part picker's bonanza before they made the one way trip.
Thanks for starting this thread mobiltec...these "finds" are what we all live for.

I was thinking of how to respond to this, and then I saw Bruce's comment. Ditto.. That's awesome I am happy for those people.

First off, love the shape, wood, curvy cabinet. My guess is $3,500 only because it is a popular price on craigslist...
