The miracle won't be when we finish, the miracle is that we had the courage to start.

We haven't been on as much for all the reason mentioned above, caring for elderly parents, new grandchild, personal health, temporary work schedules, and a total stall on the trailer rebuilding in the polar vortex of winter, etc. The new forum is great and we appreciate those that contribute so much of their time and hard work giving advice to neophytes. He gets on to learn, I get on to lurk and find the things for him he needs to learn....also, for a good dose of humor now and then. I haven't posted things for sale yet, but have enjoyed being able to find good homes for items that others were looking to buy. We'll probably have to have special permission to stay on the board/ we are not keeping much of it original-it won't be a lip stuck pig, but a frame off, home- rebuild, with a modernized touch of the Northwoods Glamper. We have come to the conclusion we bought a template and some wheels on an axle.

I was being a bit of a smart arse. Bruce is a great guy. He has sent me links to ones in my area that almost caused marital problems for me. Had to pass on a Mainline in my area really cheap that was complete. Ugh! I really love the wife but sometimes she makes this hobby difficult.......

I actually gave this some thought before I decided to post. Believe it or not, I joined two other forums a couple of years ago related to small trailers that I have never posted to, but occasionally use for an info resource. One dropped me, the other I can still log into when I remember my password. Lurkers can still see useful info on this forum, so after a certain time period, I'm not sure that keeping non-posters or one time log-ins on the list serves any purpose. I'll be much quieter once I start camping (no applause, please.) I say keep contributing members, even if they have a lull in log ins or posts, but put a time limit on non-participants. Also, having members state a reason for wanting to join helps weed out fakes.

Loon's Nest put it perfectly for us, too, almost scarily since our lurking and learning nearly identical as she describes. And we will probably need to join them on the special permission list. But hopefully we can stay on the forum despite not being strictly purist.

Nobody is getting kicked off VTT unless there is a reason! Everybody is a valuable member. I just wonder about somebody who joined a year ago who has not logged in for that long... Perhaps you all should log in once a year or so?
You know what makes this board so cool? MEMBERS. Thank you. Vikx

I am the lead moderator on the '54 Ford Club of America and like you we have people that go through the process to register and sign up and never log back in.
A year or so ago the decision was made to dump none participating members,In that time only one guy complained about being dropped,we re-instated him a year ago.
Guess what?..he still hasn't posted. Danny

Alas, some people are listeners and some are talkers. In my opinion they are all welcome, what difference does it make.

It only makes a difference if they are spammers
or ax murderers.

Hi Vikx I joined this board some time back but have yet to post. Some of you may remember me as I post on the Repairing Yesterdays Trailer site. I don't know if the moderators track member usage but I can tell you there is rarely a day goes by that I don't read both boards. I have the disease big time. I notice some dual members have their trailer rebuilds on both sites but I don't know how to do that. Let me say that these two sites are the best to be found. NanaT
