Looking good. You're going to have quite a nice trailer there when it's done. The little video you have at the top of your blog is marked "PRIVATE" so we can't view it. You need to go to your channel and make it public.

He is Shellacing this week and then electrical begins! Decided to make my indoor propane lamp 110 and not do propane for safety sake. Woulda been cool propane but I'm good without open flame near wood!

I've been thinking about converting my propane lamps to electric so they still look like the original lamps but use little light bulbs.

Yeah I really love the idea of the propane so it's original and I think the flicker of the flame is so cool when inside, playing cards or whatnot. Just worried about the flame part and I'm bad enough with candles! How would u do yours? The propane mechanism thing on the inside (for lack of technical terms), needs to be replaced with a bulb maybe? I saw at Lowes yesterday they had a vintage light bulb with the old look.....it was too big in size for this light but the concept was cool.

Well it would be a fun project and I will see what it's going to take. I think they have flickering bulbs that will fit in the lamp itself. Then it's just a matter of running wires through that hole where the gas goes through. I love creative little things like this.

Then it's just a matter of running wires through that hole where the gas goes through. I love creative little things like this. The flickering bulb would look great. I briefly thought about getting those fake flickering candles that are battery powered to put in there but I think an actual electrical one would look better. Will have to experiment. I would have a trailer full of cool lanterns inside if safe. I bought a vintage oil lamp/lantern from 1952 but it will stay outside. Living in the country It also made me think it may b nice to have a few oil lamps around the house in case of outage. Things were simple in the old days but makes sense to still use the same concepts at times.

I have a collection of oil, and propane lamps. Even have a couple of kerosene huricane lamps... I've had to use the oil and propane ones inside here before when the power has gone out for as much as 3 days in a row.

Mobil, its pretty cool how I have been learning of the collectors around here. I love when things aren't just for looks but are functional too. We have generator, but only powers a small portion of our house and we are pretty far outta town. pitch black in an outage. I am glad to have the one oil lamp and may get a few more to have. I like them so much I may declare Wednesday nights "old school nights' and make my kids turn off all of the lights, tv, video games, and just use them to light our house. Okay, I may not go that far, but it would be fun to do on occasion to teach them how it "used to be done". We actually CAN sit and talk! haha

Next we are working on the electrical and firming up where lights go, where to pull for the fantastic fan, the Odyssey Wave Propane heater 6, the tankless water heater, etc. etc......Brad is going to rough up the interior to get accurate placement. My big question and almost regret is that I got a really cool retro fridge and microwave from Walmart and I know its only shore power, but it looks great with my colors and it seems to be large enuf for a fam of 5. It will now be LARGER than the countertop (it will be raised up a few inches on a 62 Shasta, it will be to the right of the oven......so do we build a countertop around the fridge> Or do I go get a classic icebox and exchange my 110 fridge.....Thankfully Brad is very patient and is good at suggestions.....I love the look of the fridge and how it functions, but maybe I need an icebox instead>
HELP!!! Need real examples!

Usually the fridge goes in the floor to ceiling cabinet. So does the Icebox if you have one. I'm pretty sure anyways....
