And that's the reason behind the crown framing around the vent. It raises the metal enough to allow for run off. I opened up the 66 Super Shasta last week and the roof is in great shape. It had two 14 inch vents. One in the main trailer and one in the bath room and neither one leaked. The only leak was a small area where the seam of the metal roof had been damaged. The rest of the roof was clean.
