Hi All....I just finished making 4 bench seat cushions. We used a vacuum to suck the air out of the foam to shrink. I bought some very cheap thin painters plastic at HD (.7 mil) to wrap the foam in. After the foam was small enough we put it in the cover. That part is tricky so it's best to have 3 people. 2 stuffers and 1 holding the vacuum head. It won't take much for the air to escape...we know! Anyway once you have it down this is the best and easiest way to stuff your seat cushions. Enjoy.

Was that final closure done with a zipper, or velcro? I was watching this morning with the sound off, so sorry if you answered that in the vid and I missed it.
I saw this done one time by a professional upholsterer, and wondered how it looked being done by us laymen. Now I'm pretty sure I can handle doing it. Thanks for posting this!

I did not have a sipper. I hand sew the opening to close. I is pretty easy to do. The key is to make sure when you cut the fabric each piece is cut to match. Also I would buy premade piping. Doing our own was a peta. It took an extra day to sew.
The plastic was removed by pulling it from the top and bottom. I saw the sailrite plastic but we didn't want to spend that kind of money. HD was plastic was cheap.

Great video. I suspect having a film over foam cushions in a camper which is prone to dampness is a good idea too.
