It takes 15 minutes for us to pack up at the campground now. Which this camper, 8 hours and you're on your way.

"Whew", a life size Marilyn Monroe blanket and Shasta wings on her Scotty. That's, um, well, ah, something. I think I remember her from my days at California College of Arts and Crafts.

Its sort of like a trailer pimp!
Somehow the purist in me feels like I'm looking at trailer porn. So I am both repulsed and inappropriately fascinated by the decor!
My favourite part is the Shasta wings on the scotty... kinda like wearing falsies!!

Too funny, LadyW...
Price is 8K...
Doesn't look to have had structural work, pretty rough in the only two exterior photos.

I'm shocked that this trailer is up for sale. The gal that owns it is on Facebook where rebuild pics are posted. Looks like it was totally rebuilt. I'm shocked because she seemed to really love it and even has a Studebaker tow vehicle painted to match the trailer. Maybe she's just testing the market. Going to be a hard sell since it's so theme specific.

Thanks Callie. Always good to know if a person has made a true restoration effort.
The ad is getting funnier the more one reads it. Lot of XL camper theme pajamas... sorry I had to smile. She has tons of electrical things, I'd hate to see all of them used at once.
It's been for sale since 2014, odd. Any way we could get the link to the photos? Seriously, if it's a good build, the price is a little closer to realistic. Remove a lot of PINK and glitter; you've got a camp-able unit.

I can't get a link to the pics on FB but her name is Judy Pink and she has an album of rebuild pics.

Okay I will chime in here now. Mostly because you all are stomping around on my home turf... craigslist. rochester.org Callie pretty well said enough to fill in some of the blanks that go with many craigslist ads. I have not been on facebook in many months, but do remember all the posts that appeared on the vintage camper groups there over the last couple years regarding this trailer. I also am the owner of the original icebox from it, as mentioned in the ad: " ...re--porceilined enameled in white. no original heater or icebox, ..." We picked it up from them in October of 2013. They had the Scotty torn down in their barn at that point, and I got to see the work in progress when the whole rear wall was off the camper. We also saw the Studebaker, as well as the gal's husband's daily driver, a 1950's vintage wagon....was there a Studebaker wagon? , or may have been an Edsel. (My foggy memory fails sometimes...) I do wsh I had photos from that trip.... At some point back during the summer, they had the unfinished camper and the Studebaker advertised as a package deal, and I know that the pink Coleman cooler in the ad has also been advertised as well. I can't attest to anything that has happened to the camper regarding rebuild between October of 2013 and today, but I can say that it was torn down and rebuilt. I even kept the photo from the CL ad for the icebox, and can give sort of a "before and after" look. Before: After: and WAY after: Although I can't quite comment on the Shasta-style wings, I know they have also appeared for sale on craigslist separately too. And also in the ad, it looks like a pair of actual Scotty-wings.... which also would not be appropriate to the year of this Scotty, as attested to by vintagebruce in another thread, ( vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/5757/shasta-idea-year-info ) , which included a link to the photo: I'm gettin' pretty far off track now, but since everything else about the ad has to do with "decor", and not "camping", I guess I am done here. I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping" I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping I will not comment on "glamping" Okay I feel better now....

Thanks Ten.
So: remove the PINK and have a cute little camper. The nice thing about Scottys is that they were painted inside to begin with, so re-painting isn't a big deal...

That's quite true. They actually sorta bring it up in the ad..."it's like buying a house, you get to change whatever you want to however you want" or, "It's your trailer, do whatever you want with it."
The most important piece of the puzzle to a serious buyer is as it should always be, the documentation of the work that was done. All of the extras may or may not be of interest to a buyer, but the trailer itself is going to either be worth the price or not to anyone it would appeal to. Of course, that goes more so for someone who is interested in seeking out a "glamper" and the accessories.
