Gotta know when to leave them in the driveway.
Also ought to know where to get good insurance.
I expect that one to show up on cl soon...."Mint, should buff right out....a weekend worth of work will make this ole jewel shine again".....
One of the things that our society at large has done away with is offering a course in driver education at the "beginning driver" high-school level. And it shows. Sure seems to me there ought to be a minimum entry-level towing course. Like everything else though, most people would put more effort into circumventing the test than would try to learn from it. Okay, getting off my soapbox now.

Wonder what they actually got, with a starting bid of $10K on ebay... Wow.

Can it be rebuilt? That's a lot of damage.

Lucky nobody got hurt. At least I hope not...
Not worth the 10K to me but maybe it could be rebuilt. Parts wouldn't bring it. Maybe chassis tanks, etc???
Seems to have sold for more than I would have guessed.

I do feel bad for whoever took the loss on this. I like the Bambi models a lot. So does everyone else, which explains their cost (alot like the tiny vintage camper drawing more than the 24' vintage camper does).
It is fun to speculate at what happened, in a way. Of course, rolling it up was not the fun part, for someone....
While all the speculating and wondering is natural, don't lose sight of the primary point here....Know when to leave them home, and learn how NOT to tow them.

nccamper, I'll see you in the slow lane. I'm always surprised when I'm on a straight freeway humming along at 60 mph which is my top speed in great weather and then I'm passed (quickly) by people pulling trailers. That photo is very reaffirming. Slow, steady, safe.

I read the ad as 0 Bids, closed. So I am of the opinion that it didn't sell. I believe that it is beyond reasonable repair. This is one that should be scraped out. It looks like even the best side is sprung.

Ad said sold locally on Craigslist, but who knows?? Sorry about that I hadn't scrolled down to the bottom to see that note. I still think if anyone paid $10,000 or more they were nuts. The way aluminum stretches I think it is junk.
