Just enough is usually just right. Hope you hid that one behind the barn for safe keeping Larry.

I would rather cuddle with my wife than the dog she is more fun. When we travel out west we can never find a nice place to camp like your pictures. Camp grounds are expensive sometimes, one place in northern Arizona was $80 a night, we could get a motel for that price. We found a nice place with trees on a lake about 30 miles west of Denver along the interstate $75 a night. We sometimes camp in Walmart parking lot to avoid the high price areas. I think a person needs to live in the area to know the best places to camp. AAA camp and tour books are great but don't show places like where your camping. I would often rather camp in a place like where you are than a fancy place with showers, wifi, tv, and a camp store but I cant go very long with no shower but a dip in the stream is fine. We did find a nice place in CO called, wolf creek pass we stayed there 3 days, it was very nice on a mountain stream. Some of the best places to camp are places we find by accident. Your photos look like your out in the wilderness some where not a pay to camp type camp ground we would love to camp in a place like that.

I have a wife, yet still end up cuddling the dogs. Still wondering where the wife will sleep when we end up in a trailer's full bed...

The Lil' Loafers are really cool. You don't see them around here. I really like small, too. gary350, I found more "free camping" out West than any where else. BLM land often has places you can boondock for free. Not only do I like small campers, I like secluded camping spots. Even in our part of the country, there are still some reasonably priced, secluded sites in the National Forests. When we were in CO, we stayed in Arapaho NF rather than Rocky Mountain NP. The sites were primitive and only $16 ($17 now). We stopped at the National Forest station (office) and they were very helpful.

That looks like a nice little camper. How long ago did you sell it? why did you let it go?

Your photos are great. I'm a big fan of tiny campers. My wife...not so much. She felt the 62 Compact was a little too small for two people.

I very seldom camp in "pay campgrounds"... I find nice spots on BLM land. The rules are pretty easy to follow. You can only stay in one spot for 14 days max and don't release gray water within 100 feet of a creek, lake or stream. That's about it. Have a fire permit for your camp fire and you're good to go. I do stay in BLM camp grounds some times and they are only $5 to $10 per night. They have pit toilets and sometimes water here and there. They also have a table and fire ring usually. I can't camp in a "campground" where you are within feet of your neighbors. Mel I sold this little baby about 7 years ago. I always regret selling a camper. But I wanted the 54 Westerner and didn't really have room for two at the time. The Westerner was also a lot of fun. I took it all over California and Nevada. Just me and the dog.

I would love to have a 15 foot canned ham shape body style camper with a 75" ceiling. What is BLM?

BLM land is great but the roads leading to it can be a little rough.
Mobiltec, I like the the Westerner even more than the Loafer. You and vikx are hoarding all the best campers!

I know of free BLM campsites that are paved to within 50 feet of the site. Then it's a good dirt road for 50 feet and you are there. I got the Lil Loafer for free and paid $300 for the Westerner. Got my 54 Lakewood for free also. Just had to drive 300 miles to get it. Towed like a dream.

We have only done a little BLM camping in Hamlet, but it's been great. You may also be able to find some state campgrounds that are semi improved (water available) for as little as $5 a night.
And mobil... the Lil Loafer is fabulous. The door in the back helped make the layout seem bigger than it really was.

I'm 6.2 inches tall and I fit in it just fine. One thing about the rear door though. You had to remember to put the levelers down in the back before you stepped inside. Otherwise it does a quick wheelie. Ask me how I know this....
