It's good to know when the winds are too high for towing. Travel trailers are very light weight and it really doesn't take much to blow it over. Just because you see others including big heavy tractor trailers doing ok in the wind, doesn't mean it's safe for you to tow your light weight camper in the same conditions. Better safe than sorry. Pull over and wait it out.

OK Mobiltec, you scared the you know what out of me. Good. That was my intention. I have stopped and waited out wind storms before and very glad I did. I just pull the trailer into the wind and get comfy. I've seen too many trailers on their sides. It's not worth risking it.

This is very good advice. Many times it ends up way worse than this. Imagine if a loaded semi had been coming toward it at 60 mph and was only 50 feet away when it flipped. A whole new ball game.If you watched closely you may have noticed the trailer was giving them warning as it swayed. Sometimes you get that warning sometimes not.
