Occasional posts about our adventures with our Shasta. In the early posts from 2007 and 2008 you can see a lot about the restoration of our 1963 Shasta Airflyte. flyte63.blogspot.com/ -Don

HI Don!
Can't wait to rip into your blog. The Shasta is quite a pretty sight!
My wife and I are also Western New Yorkers, we live south of Rochester, and we are on hold right now, but currently in the middle of a '64 Airflyte. Pretty cool having another New Yorker and another Airflyte all at the same time!

I just sit here an read your entire blog and I was very disappointed when i came to the end. I had a great time sharing your adventures and remembering back to times that we had traveled many those same highways and the great enjoyment we experienced, plus found a few new places that I would like to visit. Thank you for posting it. The first time I traveled the route west we went all the way to Washington State pulling a 1959 Nimrod tent camper that was only two years old. We saw most of what you did plus Yellowstone and Glacier National parks.

Thanks
And yes, the Antique Archeology (American Pickers shop) is only a few minutes off of I-80 right on the Mississippi river. It was cool to see them but unfortunately we couldn't get a good photo of our trailer in front of their shop that day. Some days this would definitely be possible! We also missed out on meeting Mike as we were stuck behind another vehicle at the gas station just down the hill while he was out talking to a small crowd of fans.
