I loved the look of the big window on my Oasis but I kept envisioning rocks shattering it. And then my friend bought an old trailer and while driving it home the front window shattered and he had to find a way to fix it in the dark and pouring rain. That did it for me, I wanted a rock guard. Instead of using plexiglass I found a light plastic at the local home store that looks good and is very see through. The friend I worked with on the trailer designed a metal frame and even reconfigured the brackets so that they are on the inside of the guard which means you can't see it when it's closed. Here's some documentation: s1288.photobucket.com/user/Swirlygirls/library/Rock%20Guard

Whoa! That's really cool! That window is so huge too! It's the biggest window on a trailer that size that I have seen! That is a really neat plastic you used! That will definitely be a consideration to change out my fiberglass guard if it doesn't look good painted.
I think the rock guard I have on there dates the trailer so much. It looks very 70s. I am trying to make it seem more like a classic earlier trailer with my paint/polish design.

Ok, here is fuzzy wuzzy, my soon to fall apart rock guard....It's getting in touch with its inner mohair shagness...

Ooooo, it is fuzzy wuzzy. You can do better for sure! Sometimes all the things that need attending to are overwhelming but as Ann Lamott said, "bird by bird" and you'll get there.
