I'm sure this isn't a record for tail lights, but made me chuckle.

Looks like somebody didn't want run over. Not pretty, but effective.

What made me chuckle was of the 20 exterior, lights not a single light worked except my 2 temporary magnetic lights.
After doing some camper archeology. I found the original wires were cut off and stuffed back into the frame. Why I ask, do people think cutting wires will make things better? Of course, what fun would a project be that did need some work?
The wires for the add-on lights were scuffed up and had bear wire in may places.
The wire for the marker lights is green. It took me a bit to figure out the lead to the rear marker lights is red. There is a splice some place in the wall. The lead wire to the front maker lights is green. When I count wires at the marker lights I am one short. I think there is a splice for the front maker lights in the wall. The wires for the marker lights seem to be in good condition so I will reuse them.
I managed to pull in new wires to the original tail lights. As long as I was pulling wires I pulled a return wire from the frame to the tail lights. Now I know, for sure, with out a doubt I have a good return for the tail lights.
When I stated the camper had 2 working lights out of 20, or 10%. Now it has 2 working lights out of 16, or 13%. And it looks much better without all that stuff hanging on the back.

Things get worse before they get better. Happiness is working tail lights. I even have one of the maker lights working. Only 13 to go. The marker lights are in bad shape. The local camper place has the same model marking lights. They will all be replace with new ones. Best, Paul B

You need 6 more campers so you can use all your lights.

Run your hot running lamps wire through a toggle switch and then to your trailer battery... That way you can turn on your trailer running lights when you are out and about the RV park and when you come back after dark you can find it easily.
