I should finally be able to get my compact towed to get it weighed next week, so that I can get a title for it.
I know it has pretty bad rot in the lower drivers side bottom rear of the camper. Is there something I should do to reinforce that while I drive it to get it weighed? Or should I not worry about it because it made it 4 hours on a flat bed to my house when I got it delivered.

Hard to answer this question, Mel. I would want to know more of the issues on having to be on a flatbed. If the trailer body is loose from the frame, you could end up with a mess on the road.
Perhaps strap the body to the frame and drive slow?

How far is the weigh station? Do you have access to a flatbed to haul it if it collapses? We waited to get Hamlet weighed until we had finished the fixing all the rot, but we had towed him home (how dumb and naive were we?) for about a 7 hour drive, so he probably would have held up another 8 miles round trip. Probably.

If you can post a couple photos of the sagging area maybe we can suggest some form of temporary reinforcement that is basic for a fairly slow short drive.

Yay! situation avoided! I went to the Secretary of State today, I had printed out a copy of the original compact flyer that states its weight, and although the lady did not seem like she wanted to use that for its weight, her manager said it was fine, so my camper is finally legal!!!! I won't be hitting the road for a long while, but I am excited to know that is one less step I have to worry about
