I thought it would be fun for some of us who happen to keep track of build time to post how long it takes to do specific jobs. If you have that info already written down please share. If not and you would like to participate, start keeping track of certain jobs and then chime in.
18 foot 59 Kenskill. Completely sand, repair and shellac interior paneling. 5 coats. Only one wall sheet replaced.
Total hours 140.

Shasta Compact
Taking off the front and rear skin (jrail off)-- 3 hours Put on new front and rear skin--8 hours (my first time so I moved slowly)
Prep for paint with trim off- one FULL week. (and that was without doing filler work, with very little paint on the camper) Paint-- 1 hour a coat to spray the entire camper. One hour to clean and pack up equipment each day. Prep took all the time
Putting windows in with new tape--4 hours Clean and polish 4 windows by hand--around 12 hours Clean and polish the gas lamp--2 hours (soot)
Take out the water tank, fill test it, flush it, get it back in-- 6 hours Take the hand pump out, repair and polish it--4 hours
Get two bolts on the gas tank to line up with the bracket on the camper--4 hours (Don't ask.)
---
I forgot to add, watch Mobiltec videos 8 times for each new job--- 1 day each task Think through exactly how I will do something before actually working-- 4 days each task Go to Home Depot 8 times each task-- 8 hours Boring my wife talking about each task-- Endless

It is small by comparison to most campers that are any more modern. The point is though....Multiply the time factors exponentially for every foot longer your camper is than the Compact. Especially the part about boring the wife.......

Yes, the Compact is tiny. Very easy to work on.

Well, it took two days to get the edge trim off the Aljo. That including using a Dremel to slice the screw heads and undo them by hand...
That would be about 14-15 hours worth... counting picking the goop.

If you are getting ready to start a trailer project the time it takes someone else will not even be close to what it may take you. My advice is take the time to watch Mobiltech's videos read this entire web sight at least a dozen times then take your personal skill level and tool assortment into consideration and come up with your best idea of how long it will take and what it will cost you to do it. Now figure in all of life's little distractions, plus cold, hot, rainy weather and arrive at your best estimate of cost and time. Now multiply those figures by at least 3 and you should be somewhere near 1/2 of what it will take. Seriously if you are new to trailer restoration take the time to figure out exactly what level of safety and finish you and your family will be satisfied with then make a definite plan and try to stick to it. If you just fly by the seat of your pants you may start a project that will cost you a ton of money or you may never finish it. I have been building from scratch and repairing campers for fifty years and still have trouble bringing in a project as planned because I always decide some thing else would be better than my original plan. Don't let this scare you off, you are considering a very rewarding project that can bring you years of enjoyment with family and friends. Even though some of it is hard boring work your sense of accomplishment will be worth every scratch, cut, and scar you suffer when you pull into a camp ground beside a high dollar new unit and get more attention than the new one.

Hours people. Hours. How long did it take you to complete a particular project. Sure everyone works at a different pace but this is just sort of an eye opener type question.

Leveling the 32' fifth wheel onto 8 blocks 26hrs (including four hours of help):
8 hrs Leveled unleveled muck soil while the trailer was above it ( did not move trailer) Replaced soil with harder road fill where the blocks were going.
2 hrs Cut and painted 16 2x8s for the frame to sit on instead of cinder blocks.
8 hrs Each blocks where built with a 16x16x4" trailer pad, one layer of two cinder blocks, some received two layers and changed direction to have them stacked safely. A trailer pad on top to call it off, and two 2x8x16 painted wood blocks for the frame to rest.
8 hours: First I leveled it with a line level, then I used my buddies fancy lazer level to finalize any changes.
This does not include the 8 hours it took to repair my beveled gear in the landing gear. 3 hours to remove it, 2 hours to install, 3 hours of talking to different companies, return the wrong beveled gear, and then shipping the right one to have the bore diameter increased and a slot to place a pin.
If I only had a leveled, hard surface to work worth. Or at least had moved the trailer and done it right instead of piecing it.

30 hours to gut and remove the entire paneling and some cabinetry of the 32' fifth wheel.
The time it will cost me for gutting it instead of working from the outside, wayyy too much.

24 hours of cleaning rat homesand there damages. Maybe even longer.
24 hours for plumbing: 4 hours to remove broken sewage tank 4 hours to dig a grey water garden 4 hours to install drain plumbing to grey water 4 hours to install water to plumbing system. 8 hours to figure out that I never needed to remove my shower faucet, I just needed a new shower head and replace a gasket. This was after removing it buying a cheap replacement, then I repaired the old shower faucet and reinstalled.

Shasta compact roof vent.
20 minutes to take it off 3 hours chipping away at petrified tar. Unbelievably hard stuff. Even Jasco did nothing to it. 1 hour cleaning and polishing figuring out the screen replacement, one week 30 minutes installing with new tape 10 minutes reinstalling when I realized it was on wrong. Duh.
