And it still has not been recovered which means it probably never will be.

Has anyone ever outfitted their trailer with a GPS tracking device? They don't cost that much and goodness knows we all know the best places to hide them in our trailers!

That way you could track it all the way to Korea.... I believe they are going over seas due to the crazy amount of money the Koreans are paying for them. Notice they usually pick trailers that will fit inside of a shipping container. Not sure that a GPS would work from inside a steel shipping container though. You'd have to find it before it got to a container.

I have purchased a micro gps tracker from Spy Spot. It is$44 dollar activation fee and $24 a month service fee. You can sign on a month by month basis. The gps has a huge magnet that will stick to my wheel well on the inside of my cabinets. I also have 2 boots for each tire, a hitch lock that has a ball that goes inside the coupling and another lock on the hitch. Last, but not least, my license plate number is painted huge on the roof. I hope I have done enough to deter any thief!

When I store the camper in the driveway, I take the tires off and support it on 6" beams across the frame in the front middle rear. I also have the whole chassis lower than it should be to put the tires on, and I bring my lug nuts inside. Some one wanting to steal it would have to bring lug nuts, 2 new tires, a jack, bolt cutters.. I feel pretty safe:) This also helps with the life of the tire. If you go a while without using the camper, it can put a weak spot wear it is resting n the ground.. I used a tongue lock on it as well. I used to do all of the above, PLUS I had the camper facing towards the back yard (would roll it so the front would be at the opposite end of the street. Am I paranoid??

vigilante justice...no need to involve the Grover Beach PC authorities...might have been borrowed by some poor unfortunate soul that has been deported 5 times and has 7 felony convictions and we can't dwell on the past.
