anyone know where to buy some of the parts from the new re-issued Shasta campers, I would like a new chrome emblem, maybe a couple of more items. I figured they would be for sale by now through someone?

They are not selling them to the public. However, there is post somewhere here that had a link to some emblems that someone is reproducing. Search Shasta Emblems.

Susie, that was an ebay auction. I do so wish they were going to give a little to the "refurb" market, but they turned out to be too busy hustling the star-struck.

And Universal was the one who posted it so I doubt I was much help on that one! vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/3715/new-reproduction-shasta-emblems-ebayFrom the eBay ad, sounds like they make the reproductions, although there are none currently listed and $98 is really pricey. BRAND NEW REPRODUCTION EMBLEM THIS IS AN EXACT REPRODUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL SHASTA EXTERIOR CHROME LOGO FOUND ON TRAILERS BUILT FROM THE LATE 50'S THROUGH THE EARLY 60'S. A MOLD WAS MADE FROM THE ORIGINAL LOGO OFF OF A 1961 AIRFLYTE. THE PART IS CAST FROM ZINC, JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL, AND IS THEN CHROME PLATED. BECAUSE IT WAS MADE FROM AN ORIGINAL LOGO, IT WILL MOUNT ON YOUR VINTAGE CAMPER USING THE SAME HOLES AS THE ORGINAL! AGAIN, WE OFFER AN OFFICIALLY LICENSED LOGO, AND OTHER PARTS, AND ARE CURRENTLY THE ONLY COMPANY WHO IS ABLE TO DO SO. free shipping on all orders within the continental US!! We will ship outside the 48 States, but the buyer will pay actual shipping costs with NO HIDDEN handling fees!

You might come to the same thinking when you go out and actually price having your old logo's re-chromed.

LOL last time I checked, if you walk into a chrome shop with less than a $400 order they will laugh at you.

I'm just fine with my stuff looking old; it is old. But early Compacts had decals and my later one is missing the emblem completely. I'd buy an old one but I don't think the trailer is deserving of a $98 emblem, not even when restored. I'm not about the glitter; I'm about the vintage.

I went back to that ebay add, it has sold but the seller has sold 2 of them, so he may have a source. I'll keep my eye out for another, I figured when more came out for sale the price would drop.

From what I saw when I toured the reissue is chrome emblem is smaller than the original or least it appeared that way.

According to his add they are the same size, he is listing 2 more tomorrow, guess I will bite the bullet and buy one. I'll post up comparison pics between mine and the new one for reference.

I also sent him a message to come and sell here to save some ebay fees, might be a bit cheaper.

I meant the emblems on the 2015 reissues. Yes and someone has stated that they are smaller than the originals so they won't fit the original holes on the original trailers.

so there is a 2014 and a 2015 reissue? did the popularity of them spawn this?

No only 2015, all the reissues are '15's
