Ok, besides mantel and globe, what else is this little guy missing? Im assuming some bracket to hold globe and maybe a knob. Is there a clip to keep mantel in place or does it tie on? any help / pics would be awesome

You're missing the burner nose and gasket. Very hard to find...

I found the burner noses and gaskets on Amazon. Check the above posted thread with the word "mantles" in it. It has pics of the noses and gaskets. Here's a Humphrey L12 tie on kind, you'll see the twist on listed below, too. I think Vintage Trailer Supply has them, too. I know they have the mantles. www.amazon.com/Humphrey-L12-11A-Burner-Mantle-Lights/dp/B001J2S1ZO

My gas lamp happens to be a Veritas type 76357. Could it be possible it was made by Humphrey? Did Shasta use 2 different types in 64. Or is mine a replacement?

No, I don't think so. Verita Co. is no longer around. Don't give up yet, though.

You could consider just replacing it with a Humphrey. They are easier to find parts for.
I saw that one on eBay, too. It has a really odd looking globe. I've never seen one with the opening on the side before. There are a lot of Verita mantles on eBay. After they quit making the lights, they continued to make the mantles.

Another option is to convert it to electric, either 12 volt or 110. It's fairly easy to do and would eliminate the need for the burner nose and mantle. Many modern globes could be retrofitted, no need for high heat glass, etc.

@vikx, what do you think about the globe with hole in the side? Ever had one like that? Seems like it would leave the flame exposed but maybe I'm just not thinking right. Also, man314 I'm not seeing the burner nose in this pic, either. I'm not sure the burner is even there, the piece that the burner nose would fit on (although you have that, chance it might not fit.)

I did some more research. Apparently the Falks (possibly Verita) are used for high altitude because they can be adjusted more easily.
All the parts for Humphrey are interchangeable EXCEPT the burner and nose.
Man, that eBay light is a new model and it retails for $80.
