You need to post a photo so we can see what you are referring to. Upload your photo to photobucket and then choose the photo icon in the advance section. Insert the link ..

Good job! No problem, you are not the first to have problems linking pics.
I don't know what it is, somebody will know, but it sure is a cutie!

Take time to read through the threads here, especially the restoration and repair threads before you get too deep into replacing the wood. Have you pulled the skins off? You need to work from the outside in. There are also some diagrams that show the parts of a trailer and will give you an idea of how it is put together so you can take it apart, replace rot, and put it back correctly.

I haven't pulled anything off but the paneling and I'm replacing studs as I take them out.

I haven't pulled anything off but the paneling and I'm replacing studs as I take them out. Canned Ham trailer construction began "from the inside out". In order to repair/rebuild you have to start by removing the skin first, and work your way into the problem area.
This has been discussed many times, you will find lots of information on this site on how to repair your trailer correctly.

Oh yes, welcome Matt. And don't let us scare you. You can find everything you need to know here and if by chance you don't, ask and someone will have an answer for you.
RJ has some great pics of his trailer before and after he took the skins off. Take a look at his recent thread.
As John said, it has been discussed, and often comes up with newbies as to why you can't correctly replace the paneling from the inside. I will try to locate those discussions for you (and maybe we need a thread devoted to that.)
In a nutshell here it is: Like John said, the trailer is built from the inside out (or the walls were built and then attached to the trailer) so the opposite operations needs to take place to take it apart. The panels go from the top to the bottom on the outside of the floor on most trailers, the skirting is over the paneling. The top is fastened to the edge boards on the sidewalls and the ceiling panels are under the edge boards. They are not built like houses where the paneling would sit on the floor.

Look on your tongue for a serial number. It may be hiding under paint and rust.
